Hotel AKA Alexandria and Hotel AKA Washington Circle is seeking a Group Rooms/Reservations Coordinator!

AKA Hotels Hotel Residences is recruiting a duel Group Rooms/Reservations Coordinator to oversee the reservations process and operation in the hotel's continuting effort to deliver outstanding guest service. This individual will be based out of Hotel AKA Alexandria and Hotel AKA Washington Circle.

Team Member Responsibilities:

• Create group room blocks and monitor accuracy including cutoff date, pick up, suite blocks, rates etc.
• Assist with all guest inquiries within the sales department, including assisting with high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections.
• Assist Director of Revenue Management with daily rate loading as needed.
• Monitor distribution channels.
• Submit/audit STR data.
• Correspond via email and telephone with Group Clients and Corporate and Leisure Travel Advisors regarding group leads and individual reservation requests.
• Providing Conference Service Manager and Director of Sales support as necessary, including but not limited to contract turnovers, merging contracts, menu printing, site inspection forms and execution.
• Periodically assist with front of house operations including greeting and directing guests.
• Managing projects related to sales initiatives such as holiday gifts and hotel partnerships.
• Create and distribute reports to appropriate email distribution lists such as group block or cut-off reports.
• Audit reservations to ensure each reservation reflects applicable details for guest requests, profile preferences, billing requirements and any calls to action as per AKA reservation auditing standards.
• Assist with commission processing.
• Provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodations, transportation, room rates and hotel amenities.
• Communicate applicable deposit, guarantee, payment, pet and all other applicable policies.
• Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, local attractions, directions, etc.
• Assist Promote AKA and any specific marketing campaigns for the designated properties you support.
• Follow all AKA processing policies for credit cards and any other financial payment policies.
• Foster strong working relationships with all departments including sales, revenue, finance, front office, housekeeping, maintenance.
• Execute, maintain and update daily checklist.
• Attend daily, weekly, monthly meetings as required.
• Prepare and generate any additional reports requested.
• Performs any other duties as requested by the Director of Sales and/or Revenue Management.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years in hospitality preferably in operational setting
• System knowledge preferred in Windows, Opera Cloud, and Delphi
• Strong guest service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Must be energetic, self-starter, and detail-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management, and organization skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
• Must be able to interact with a diversified group of people both internally and externally.
