Hornig Companies seeks a full-time Multi-site Maintenance Technician to respond to work orders, prepare units for new move-ins and perform preventative maintenance at our three properties in Hudson, WI.
What are some of the things I would do?
Diagnose, trouble-shoot and hands on repair of apartment maintenance issues like:
· Plumbing issues such as leaking faucets, toilets and other fixtures
· Repair or replace blinds, closet doors
· Low risk electrical repair or replacement of lighting, ceiling fans, smoke detectors
· Minor sheetrock repair and repair of building construction such as broken windows and locks
· Minor caulking of tubs and sinks
· Minor appliance repair
Provide expertise on building repair, concentrating on preventing future maintenance concerns in historical and aging buildings
Communicate with residents regarding repairs in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines

What should I bring to the team?
· Mechanical & plumbing aptitude
· Specials Boiler’s License/ ability to obtain within 6 months
· Ability and willingness to learn
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Valid Driver’s License and meet car insurance requirements
· Ability to work 8-12 week rotating on-call schedule
· Ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot/cold and wet environments
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Ability to operate applicable phone applications for work orders, time allocation and information look-up
· Multi-housing experience is a plus!
