In your role as an engineer at Horizon Surgical Systems, you will design components and systems (hardware and software) as part of a complete product subjected to FDA regulations. Your design will be subject to safety and efficacy requirements

The level of title will be determined case by case, based on the candidate's qualifications and years of experience: senior engineer, staff engineer, principal engineer or higher.

Required Qualifications and Abilities:

• Education and Working Experience: 
  • Bachelor (with at least 3 years of industrial experience), or Masters Degree (with at least 2 years of industrial experience) in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering or Robotics related
  • 3-5 years of software development experience for robotics product, ideally with 3 years in a regulated product development or medical device manufacturing environment
• Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing software for robotic systems with imaging and real-time application of AI/ML models designed for computer vision problems
  • Proficiency in C/C and Python
  • Experience with ROS2/ROS
  • Experience in AI/ML and computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, Tensorflow, Pytorch
  • Proficiency in software version control (e.g. Git)
  • Experience with real-time Linux
  • Hands-on experience with robotic systems and perception sensors
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in development of autonomous systems
• Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test software for robotic systems
  • Integrate various system components
  • Perform system performance analysis and improve the performance
