Hopewell Health Centers, Inc. is Hiring a Crisis Residential Specialist (Direct Care Support Professional) Near Gallipolis, OH

Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking Crisis Residential Specialists (Direct Care Support) to join our Gallipolis Youth Crisis Stabilization team.

As a Crisis Residential Specialist (Direct Care Support), you will provide quality, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions for youth in crisis who present to the YCSU, assist youth in crisis with their day to day functioning. You will also provide the initial intervention when a youth is having loss of emotional regulation or behavioral issues and provide supportive counseling that parrots and extends from the youth’s treatment goals.

Two (2) part-time positions, 25-29 hours working primarily 3rd shift (11P-7A) with fill-in shifts as needed

Two (2) full-time positions, 40 hours working primarily 3rd shift (11P-7A) with fill-in shifts as needed.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct care and behavioral support of the youth residents
  • Participate in the conjunction with other treatment team members in recognition, development, and monitoring of goals as outlined in youth resident’s individualized service plans (ISP).
  • Facilitate life skills interventions on topics such as, but not limited to, interpersonal skills, communication skills, anger/stress management, self-esteem, social skills, daily living skills, problem solving skills, and positive coping skills.
  • Plan and develop group activities and group programming in cooperation with additional treatment team members.

What do we look for in our Crisis Residential Specialists (Direct Care Support)??

  • Eligible to work in the United Stated
  • HS diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be mature and function independently.
  • Ability to work with emotionally disabled persons in a crisis state.
  • Current in-person certification in Basic CPR and First Aid;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education and/or experience in the areas of mental health treatment, behavior management, social services, crisis management, mental health or substance abuse interventions with youth and their families strongly preferred.
