Hope Haven is seeking PART TIME staff to work in our transitional living center. These positions are a great way to get experience in the social work, sociology, or human services fields or just to give back to those that are in high need of mental health support.
The facility is comprised of 8 individuals in our transitional living unit and 7 tenants in individual apartments all within one location. The transitional living center is designed to assist adults with severe mental illness in building skills to make them successful in meeting their individual goals over an 18 month period. Staff lead groups and complete 1:1 individual sessions with the clients in our transitional level. Our apartments offer a step down from transitional care, but allow individuals continued supports while they prepare to live independently in the community. This position is seeking individuals looking to have high engagement with those they serve.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading groups and 1:1 activities, coaching basics of daily living skills (budgeting, cooking, cleaning, communication skills, coping skills, etc.), providing emotion/verbal support to clients, assisting clients in locating and accessing resources in the community to support their quality of life, de-escalation of crisis situations, supporting a person-centered approach, general monitoring of clients and regularly scheduled safety checks, non-invasive contraband searches as individuals enter the building, assessing for safety/over intoxication and intervening if needed for our apartment residents, and other duties as assigned that support the intent and mission of Hope Haven Dacotah Foundation.
CURRENTLY SEEKING: 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am
*Cross Training to other programs is included within the position: additional Dacotah Foundations programs have openings that give opportunity for more hours and a variety of experiences within one agency!
Part time hours can range from 8 to 29 hours per week depending on your availability and need.
All positions require every other weekend availability and some holidays. Individuals must pass a criminal background check, possess a high school diploma or GED, and current/valid drivers license.
Pay is $15.50, increased to $16.25 after completion of training modules and Medication Assistant I certification is obtained (which typically is achievable within the first 1-2 months of employment depending on employees availability to complete training)
