Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our company's fleet operations. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our fleet, including vehicles, drivers, and maintenance. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of fleet management best practices.

Responsibilities:

- Coaching drivers on safe driving, providing hours of service training, and identifying potential trends for future training

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all company vehicles to ensure they are in safe and working condition

- Manage vehicle acquisition, disposal, and replacement processes

- Monitor fuel consumption and implement measures to improve fuel efficiency

- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to fleet operations, including driver safety guidelines

- Tracking maintenance reports, roadside inspections, and annual inspections

- Maintaining driver files, including violations

- Investigating the preventability of accidents and incidents, and recommending corrective actions

-Identifying regulatory compliance risks and making recommendations to improve controls

- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards

- Coordinate with drivers to schedule vehicle maintenance and repairs

- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, repairs, and maintenance activities

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of fleet-related activities

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role

- In-depth knowledge of fleet management principles, practices, and regulations

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of drivers and maintenance staff

- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on finding innovative solutions

- Proficient in using fleet management software systems

- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, vendors, and other stakeholders

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
