We are searching for an Assistant Estimator who will support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive proposals for low-voltage security projects.
Who You Are:
Someone who loves crunching numbers, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project expenses. You will have some experience working with or on a sales team, and working in a fast-paced team environment to meet the needs of our clients. You must be extremely organized and exhibit a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Also, have a mindset of continuous education and improvement
What You Are Accountable For:
• Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for low voltage security projects, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection
• Gather and analyze data, including drawings, specifications, and material lists
• Utilize estimating software and databases to input and maintain accurate cost data
• Collaborate with the sales team, project managers, and engineering team to understand project requirements and ensure estimates are accurate and complete
• Review and understand project contracts and specifications
• Attend project kick-off meetings and gather additional information as needed
• Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on industry standards, techniques, and technologies related to low-voltage security systems
