Job Title: Jr. Project Manager
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 12 Months
NOTE: In this guide, we will walk you through the five boroughs of New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island.
The client is seeking a Project Field Manager to contribute to a large team on a fast-paced, innovative program. This role involves building complex, hardware & software-intensive systems while maintaining operations in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate, complete, and execute tasks aligned with the company and client's strategy, goals, and timeline.
Collaborate with various teams to develop and present PowerPoint presentations & Visio diagrams.
Provide clear and continuous communication to stakeholders on project progress and status.
Maintain program standards and processes.
Work with project managers advising on areas for process improvements.
Develop and contribute to Customer and/or executive-level presentations and meetings.
Work in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
Strong people skills, ability to dialogue, negotiate, influence and work with both internal and external stakeholders collaboratively and constructively.
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
Requirements:
Willingness to conduct site visits in the 5 boroughs of NYC for stakeholder meetings, surveys, and integration as needed. Assume this is several days a month or as needed.
Field experience, particularly performing sketches on site and then converting sketches to high level Visio diagrams shortly thereafter.
Available if necessary for evening & weekend hours. (Manage/Supervise Hardware/Device installations, Device Maintenance, and other related work).
Valid Driver's License and access to vehicle for field visits.
Required to report to the Vexcel office in Manhattan, as needed. Average 1 to 2 days a week.
General knowledge of Construction.
General knowledge of Electrical Power/Design (AC & DC).
Able to read and understand A&E Construction Drawings.
Prepare detailed site survey documentation.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, Bing Maps, Google Earth, and Adobe Illustrator
