The IT Sr. Manager, Order Automation/eCommerce will lead the IT strategy and assure effective IT delivery for e-commerce and order automation across the $8bn SPS (Safety and Productivity Solutions) strategic business group of Honeywell. You will be the primary interface to business leaders to define requirements and drive execution of solutions enabled through existing and emerging M2M solutions (eCommerce, EDI, Conexiom). You will be a key member of the SPS IT team, engaging in all aspects of M2M across Functions and Business entities, with a specialization in the use of technology to fulfill business objectives.

The IT Sr. Manager is the liaison and valued strategic partner to our Business and IT. Using a consultative approach, this role partners with stakeholders to create strategic alliances and acts as the broker and advocate for SPS M2M needs. The IT Sr. Manager will ensure our solutions deliver needed business capabilities, are adopted, and deliver the expected business value.

The IT Sr. Manager is also responsible for ensuring that initiatives are implemented and supported in accordance with Honeywell’s defined technology, corporate compliance, and security guidelines. The IT Sr. Manager may also be asked to build and lead productive and collaborative high-performing cross-functional teams that are aligned to key business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively work with each GBE and Functional leaders to execute M2M (eCommerce, EDI, Conexiom) deployments
  • Differentiate and determine if a complex problem is system related or a business process problem and make impactful recommendations accordingly with the help of the broader cross-functional IT organization.
  • Work with the SPS Customer Master Data team, Global Pricing and functional Teams to determine not only the data fields and field combinations that are acceptable, but the data fields and field combinations that produce the best results.
  • Develop business cases, RFP/SOW, roadmaps, reviews and business readiness activities for the Commercial and Customer Excellence leadership
  • Understand and engage the various capabilities available from the Enterprise IT Group and leverage those resources to improve SPS performance
  • Coordinate and leverage cross functional SPS IT resources in adjacent functions such as Sourcing, Logistics, Finance, Service and Manufacturing/Planning
  • Exhibits customer-focused leadership behaviors as will interface with key business stakeholders and/or executives, peers and internal customers.
  • Coach Functional teams to measure ongoing KPIs. Help leaders to understand how these are measured and what changes can be made to improve them. Review and audit Automation target and manage healthy pipeline continuously
  • Conducts presentations of functional and/or technical information concerning specific projects and/or schedules.
  • Act as a champion of Honeywell best practices and current/future IT services and solutions to support business strategies.
  • Be a role model for the Honeywell code of conduct and the Honeywell behaviors
  • Ensure that all IT activities in the region are performed in a safe and compliant manner, meeting all Honeywell internal and external standards
