The Senior Project Engineering rolewill be responsible for the analysis, design and development of advancedTurbomachinery products. The Torrance Turbomachinery group includes AirCycle Machines, Air Foil Bearings, Liquid Cooling systems, Turbine PowerSystems, Compressors and Fans to be used in aerospace applications. Youwill be the technical leader and be the primary decision maker for programcost, schedule and technical issues. You will lead prioritization of workpackages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance.Use your strategic thinking to help establish and implement direction for newbusiness opportunities, products and processes Lead and maintain an optimizedprogram management operating system for specific business segment programs bringthe best global thinking to your own organization and region.

Key Responsibilities

• The design, development and qualification of Air Cycle Machines, Air Foil Bearings, Liquid Cooling systems, Turbine Power Systems, Compressors and Fans which meet customer and internal requirements.
• Leading IPDS teams in establishing program plans with respect to cost and schedule.
• Identifying and resolving design problems of performance, strength, weight, material selection and finishes.
• Identifying and incorporating best practices for product design.
• Implementing development and qualification test objectives, writing test procedures, and overseeing the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests.
• Coordinating activities to reduce test data, prepares test reports
