As a Sr. Director, Strategic Commodity Sourcing(Industrial Automation) here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role inestablishing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize the overallperformance, responsiveness, and competitiveness of our material supply chain.

You will report directly to our VP and Chief ProcurementOfficer (IA) and you will work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid workschedule.

In this role, you will impact the company by drivingcompetitive commodity and category supply strategies, managing supplierperformance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Youwill also contribute to the growth and success of the business by identifyingcost-saving opportunities, implementing value engineering initiatives, andeliminating sole/single sources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create within IA a commodity council organizational structure covering all material areas of significant spend
• Develop new IA sourcing processes which will require the review and approval of the responsible commodity council
• Drive supply base consolidation and maximize IA’s sourcing into a fewer number of high performance suppliers
• Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies
• Right and Fast execution of strategies to align with business Growth and New Product Introductions
• Manage Category and Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis, and Global Technology/Economic trends
• Build new relationships with key Supplier Leadership
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance, and Quality and other Honeywell Businesses
• Lead Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting, and supplier performance processes
• Apply effective Sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuity
• Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Payment cycle optimization, Vendor Managed Inventories
• Inventory and Lead time reductions
