HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is responsible for leading our recruitment effort, identifying, interviewing, screening and hiring caregivers Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides. This key person will develop local recruiting plans, employ candidate sourcing strategies, create and implement new recruiting tactics. Must be entrepreneurially oriented.

Scope Of Position

Reports to the administrator 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Major Responsibilities

The HR Generalist manages client and caregiver items as they relate to matching and scheduling and is responsible for:

  1. Answering office phone
  2. Matching client schedules with compatible caregivers
  3. Assuring that the schedule is current and up to date at any given time
  4. Office and clerical activities as directed
  5. Input of information into computer systems
  6. Support and participate in the hiring process of new employees
  7. Support and assist other office staff as needed
  8. Fill in for caregivers when there is no one else available
  9. On call responsibilities
  10. Any other duty requested to maintain the operations of the business including caregiving duties
  11. Work with the management team to create and implement a full-scale recruiting platform including online and print job advertising, job fairs.
  12. Develop a pool of qualified candidates while building a deep network to identify and attract qualified candidates.
  13. Track and repost new job candidate applications, new hires and recruiting source effectiveness via care
  14. Conduct pre-screening and employment interviews. Hire new employees, complete employee background checks, reference checks and new employee paperwork
  15. Maintain database of caregiver contacts
  16. Maintain digital platforms for newsletter and other messaging
  17. Ability to complete cold calls as necessary
  18. Write and review job postings
  19. Conduct telephone interviews
  20. Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
  21. Preparing new employee files
  22. Serving as a point person for all employee questions
  23. Maintaining computer system by updating and entering data

Physical Qualifications:

  1. Able to work an average of 40 hours per week.
  2. Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day.
  3. Able to lift 20-30 pounds.
  4. Able to use tools necessary for job.
