Duties:
- Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the dietary department in an Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care Facility
- Implement menus that meet the nutritional needs and dietary restrictions of residents
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory and order food and supplies as needed
- Supervise dietary staff and provide training and guidance as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess patients' dietary needs and develop appropriate meal plans
- Monitor food preparation and service to ensure quality and adherence to dietary guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, and resident dietary information
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and dietary guidelines for different health conditions
- Experience with specialized diets
- Ability to assess patients' nutritional needs through diagnostic evaluation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team
