Homestead Gardens Horticultural Supply Division is hiring for a full-time Nursery Assistant. The Nursery Assistant is responsible for assisting the sales team with customer loading and unloading of products as well as receiving product deliveries in a nursery setting.

Requirements

What You Will Do as a Nursery Assistant: 

• Assist sales team moving product for customers in a nursery setting. May use a forklift if required.
• Load and unload materials, plants, and products safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine plant maintenance and care for products, such as planting, watering, and pruning.
• Required to follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

What You Will Bring:

• Knowledge of nursery operations and plant care
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Self starter that can work independently
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Fluent in Spanish a plus
