Responsibilities include:

• Overall estimating and budgeting for projects
• Lead a complete project cost evaluation.
• Work with the Project Team to develop detailed scopes of work
• Ability to assemble and present a complete presentation
• Ability to prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies
• Participate in client meetings and actively present and review estimates
• Develop and build relationships with local subcontractor and supplier market
• Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.
• Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements throughout the business unit.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• BA degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Managementpreferred, but not required
• Demonstrate knowledge in construction principles and methods, environmental regulations, and workplace safety.
• 5 years of experience in a preconstruction or estimating role for a GC with projects up to and in excess $20M, conceptual and hard bid experience is preferred.
• Experience with the bidding process: soliciting bids, communicating with bidders, evaluating subcontractor proposals, using bid tally sheets, etc.
• Experience in using Estimating software
• experiencewithmulti-familyprojects.
• Ability to be flexible and work well in a fast-paced environment while handling simultaneously occurring tasks and small projects.
• Excellent communication skills, solid decision-making capabilities, and a customer service attitude.
• Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software, PDF Editing, Excel and Word, estimating software, Scheduling software experience is a plus.
