Summary

This position is responsible for working with all aspects of the accounting department.

Description of Job Duties

• Enter and process invoices, payments and refunds
• Verify invoices received against purchase orders
• Balance vendor statements and daily deposits
• Contact Vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Understand vendor contracts
• Verifying payments to vendors
• Process debit and credit memos
• Process delivery reports and verify COD amounts
• Working knowledge of AP/AR procedures
• Maintain Vendor Records
• Ability to explain account balances and understand account activity

Education/Work Experience:

• 2 year accounting degree or higher
• or 2-4 years’ work related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of accounting basics
• Detail Oriented
• Organized
• Problem solving
• Ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge with accounting software and Excel

Office /Clerical Experience

• Typing skills of 35 net wpm
• Data Entry skills of 60 kpm

• Will work indoors
• Conditions may include hot/cold temperatures, dusty surroundings and noisy work environment
