Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide assistance and support to individuals in an Assisted Living Setting. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and promoting their independence.
Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record changes and improvements
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Support individuals in engaging in social activities and community outings
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Provide memory care for individuals with cognitive impairments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
-Communicate with the Nurse regarding cares
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with working in memory care or senior care settings is beneficial
- Must have reliable transportation
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
