Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging programs to enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Duties:

- Develop and coordinate recreational programs for residents, including those with dementia
- Organize and oversee social events, outings, and activities
- Manage schedules and ensure timely execution of planned activities
- Collaborate with caregivers to address residents' needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
- Plan and execute special events and holiday celebrations
- Implement recreational therapy techniques to promote well-being
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed

Skills:

- Experience in caregiving or social work
- Proficiency in schedule management and event planning
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff
- Knowledge of recreational therapy practices
- Familiarity with dementia care principles
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities is a plus
