Home Medical Services is Hiring a Davis County and SLC Medical Assistant Near Kaysville, UT

Job Summary:
This individual will be expected to monitor a specific group of patient’s care and support them in achieving short/long term health goals. The RPM MA will coordinate with providers to ensure patients’ needs are met. A working knowledge of the clinical field is desired for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a roster of patients who are enrolled in the RPM Program.
  • Visit patients daily to check their BP, weight, glucose, pulse ox, etc.
  • Deliver and setup RPM Devices, educate and demonstrate to patient.
  • Act as a direct care coordinator between the patient and the office/provider.
  • Record patient data daily and alert healthcare providers of abnormal reports.
  • Perform medical coding and billing tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to navigate electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of Excel, ability to create reports and analytics using patient data.
  • Obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records.
  • Interacting positively with physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Ability to deliver clear and direct patient information and address any needs arising from the monitoring process.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple situations happening at once.
  • Strong attention to detail and instruction
  • Manage inventory of equipment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of clinical work experience as a Medical Assistant, (CMA preferred)
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office programs, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy
  • Proficient in medical coding and billing procedures
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Course Completion Diploma or CMA designation required.
  • BLS Certification
  • High level of professionalism
  • Must live in Weber and Davis County
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service
  • Excellent time management

Physical Requirements:
Requires considerable physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and/or transferring of a 100 pound patient. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet the essential duties of the position. Must provide evidence of annual TB test and other state-required tests or examinations.

Mental Requirements:
Must be able to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available, and act accordingly. Must have excellent and clear communication skills, especially for interacting with elderly patients with potential cognitive or communication difficulties.

Working Conditions:
Be able to tolerate exposure to elements including, but not limited to, odors, blood, body fluids and excrements, adverse environmental conditions and hazardous materials.

Transportation:
Must have a current valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
