Home Care Assistance Agency is looking for a self-starter compassionate Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant with a warm, friendly personality to establish relationships with new clients and to continue excellent relationships with existing clients. Who understands the importance of meeting the needs of clients while helping them maintain a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) who has a passion for helping seniors and great communication skills. We will provide the required training for the qualified individual.

PCA Responsibilities:

• Provides or assist with assigned patient’s personal hygiene (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming skin, nail, hair)
• Safely assists with ambulation or transfers as needed
• Completes point-of-care charting at the end of a visit
• Performs light housekeeping duties; sweeping, linen changes, laundry, wiping bathroom down, doing dishes.
• Reminders for medications and medical appoints
• Promote optimal health with meal preparation
• Follows established Plan of Care as approved by the Home Care Assistant Agency and report suggested changes to Case Manager
• Meets on-call requirements for Crisis Care as per office protocols

Qualifications:

• Caring attitude, and compassionate personality. (Required)
• Previous experience with elderly or people in need (Preferred)
• Current CNA License and experience in the health care field (Preferred)
• Flexible to cover Days, Evenings, Weekend schedule (Occasionally)

• CPR certification and a current, negative TB test or chest X-ray (Preferred)
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and a drug screening
• Valid, unrestricted Virginia driver's license and your own vehicle with proof of auto insurance and registration from VA DMV (Preferred)
• Ability to independently manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
