Description

NOTE: new hires are budgeted to start in the $68-72k salary range, depending upon experience.

Summary:

The Manager, Aging & Disability Resources will provide supervision and support to the Aging and Disability Resources (ADR) programs. The manager oversees a team working to provide older adults and adults with disabilities screening, assessments, referrals, and on-going support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and provide supervision and development to program staff
  • Ensure that all contract metrics and requirements are fulfilled
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regional Senior Center staff for successful partnerships; make regular in-person visits to support relationship building
  • Provide input to the Program Director for the annual budget development process; ensure that budget targets are met
  • Assist team with complex client situations; provide supportive counseling and consultation; attend home visits or meetings with staff, as needed
  • Work to educate other Homage programs, as well as external partners, on exactly how Homage’s Aging and Disability Resource Network team works, what they provide, and which clients should be referred to this program
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of client records
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties and delegated tasks; provide training, as needed
  • Collect and analyze outcome metrics to identify and implement opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor contract compliance in relation to program implementation and best practices
  • Serve as liaison with program funders
  • Organize and facilitate program meetings
  • Maintain working knowledge of community resources relating to the populations being served
  • Collaborate with Program Director in planning and program development
  • Ensure completion of funding reports, and assures all reports to funders and other entities as required are submitted in a timely manner
  • Attend seminars and/or conferences to stay current on issues facing older adults and adults with disabilities, as needed
  • Regular and routine attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two or more years’ experience in social services work
  • AIRS Certified or the ability to become certified within one year
  • TCARE Certification or the ability to become certified within one year
  • One or more years of supervisory experience
  • Understanding of and comfort with client database use and management; effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); comfortable navigating in Microsoft Windows environment and using internet browsers
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate coordination among staff, clients, and community partners
  • Ability to apply and demonstrate Trauma-Informed Care practices to staff, clients, and community partners
  • Highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate prioritization skills/effective time management
  • Ability to shift from the clinical aspects of performing tasks, to empowering clients towards self-management
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of community resources
  • Valid WA State driver’s license and current auto insurance
  • Must be fully vaccinated per program or agency requirements

Absent any regulatory or contractual requirement for specific education/certification, other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, behavioral science or related field
  • Supervisory experience that demonstrates progression and growth
  • Experience working with older adults and/or adults with disabilities
  • Experience working in an information and referrals program
  • Experience with diverse communities
  • Fluency in other languages in addition to English

Work environment and physical demands:

  • This work is performed in an office environment, staff's place of residence and/or in public venues.
  • When necessary, the ability to work in a semi-open office setting with frequent in-person interactions.
  • Must be able to use full range of senses including hearing, sight, touch and smell as needed to complete the job's essential duties.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds occasionally related to equipment/supplies for public presentations.
  • Work requires occasional travel away from the office during normal business hours.
