Position Summary
The house supervisor works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure
· Active nursing license recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
· CPR required.
· 10 years nursing experience with outstanding leadership, management, and clinical ability have been demonstrated.
· Previous post-acute care experience preferred.

· Quality communication skills (oral and written).
· Clear speech and good hand/eye coordination.
· Requires sitting or standing for long periods and may include lifting up to 25 pounds. Proper lifting techniques required.
· Calculations, manipulating numbers, interpreting numbers, analyzing, forecasting, assessing/evaluation, explaining/teaching, attention to detail, problem solving/reasoning and high degree of accuracy
· Ability to see, hear and verbally communicate.
· Stamina and physical strength to handle equipment, and assist patients and staff. Capable of sustained rapid walking, climbing stairs, sitting, standing, and working extended hours.
· Emotional stability to deal with crisis situation, stress of self and others.
· Vision perception sufficient to read, write, use computer, correctly identify and assess patients, and staff members. Hearing sufficient to discern audible pages, monitors, vital signs, and telephone communications.
· Potential injury from equipment (needle stick, cut, etc.) and patients. Potential exposures form infectious material and or patients, radiation and chemotherapy.
· Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess plan and provide the nursing care appropriate to the age-specific needs of the infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient assigned to the medical/surgical units.
· Weekend, shift work, and holidays as deemed necessary by manager to provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
