A Brief Overview
The Director of Supply Chain for Holy Name Medical Center (HNMC) is responsible for developing and executing strategic supply chain initiatives to optimize supply chain performance, improve service levels, and reduce supply chain costs across all segments of the institution. The successful candidate will also have familiarity with IT systems and functions along with the ability to partner with the IT development team.
What you will do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives
  • Oversee the management of purchasing, contracting, inventory control, distribution, and logistics functions for HNMC
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators related to supply chain performance, including service levels, inventory accuracy, and delivery times
  • Partner with HNMC executive leadership and department heads to ensure that supply chain initiatives are aligned with organizational goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and regulatory agencies
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions, including the development of contingency plans for emergencies and disasters
  • Collaborate with IT team to develop data models and governance frameworks to ensure accurate and reliable supply and equipment data. Define data standards, establish data quality controls, and facilitate data integration
  • Evaluate existing technology systems and identify opportunities for integration and interoperability. Define and implement integration strategies to enable seamless data flow between supply chain systems and other health care IT applications
  • Partner with IT development team to design a software solution that utilizes supply and equipment data to facilitate patient scheduling
  • Performs all other duties as assigned


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Management, or related field Required or
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Management, or related field Preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • 4-6 years Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience, with a leadership role in the healthcare industry. Required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analytic tools. Experience with e-procurement platforms and inventory management systems is desirable.
  • Ability to think strategically, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and influence stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
