PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
In performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees of Taos Health Systems, Inc. (THS) are expected to conform to
the following:

POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for coordinating and managing patient care specifically in the LDRP Department. The position is
responsible for providing administrative and clinical oversight and leadership throughout the hospital specific to these specialties.
Managerial functions include policy and procedure development and review, budget development, compliance, effective
personnel practices, staff development and competency assessment activities, provision of in-service, staff education, and
providing vision and direction for accomplishment of department and organizational goals consistent with the CNO and Senior
Leadership Team.
MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
· A minimum of two (2) years of current experience in an acute care LDRP setting required, and is clinically competent.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required, Graduate from an accredited University or College required.
· Current, Valid New Mexico Licensure or Compact Registered Nursing License required.
· Knowledge of AWHONN standards and compliance specifications (HIPAA, AWHONN, OSHA, DNV, Joint Commission, etc).
· Experience in telecommunications and computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn current Electronic Health Record.
· Demonstrates knowledge and skills of speciality area.
EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. Current Registered Nursing License in the State of New Mexico or appropriate compact state OR current Advance Practice Clinician Licensure required.
· Current BLS, ACLS, PALs required. Annual hospital-wide competencies and education must be completed timely.
· Superior interpersonal and team building skills.
· Knowledge of the mission, organization, programs, and requirements of the healthcare delivery system of Holy Cross Medical Center.
· Knowledge of nursing scope of practice in New Mexico. Understanding of applical laws of acute care operations such as EMTALA. Knowledge of AWHONN standards.
· Skill in oral and written communication in dealing with a variety of individuals.
· Ability and utilization to recognize, anticipate and respond to the needs of customers/patients in a caring, respectful and courteous manner that leads to satisfactory resolution for the customer/patient.
· Broad knowledge of clinical and administrative nursing standards and practices, regulatory licensure, and accrediting agency requirements and standards.
· Strong skill set computer and telecommunication devices.
· Analytical ability to evaluate complex patient scenarios, critical thinking skills.
· A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· RNC-OB; TNCC, ENPC, NRP, STABLE, and Stroke Certification.
· Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing or allied Health Care Profession.
· Bilingual skills in English and Spanish languages.
