PART TIME POSITION FOR THE FAYETTEVILLE LOCATION.

Holly Springs Eye and Laser, a respected ophthalmic clinic, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Front Desk Administrative Assistant to join our esteemed team. We are looking for a highly organized and self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering top-notch patient care. As a part time front desk administrative assistant, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care, scheduling surgeries, managing insurance authorizations, conducting data entry, and facilitating patient and clinic communications. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through cross-training and professional development assistance. Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments and overseeing surgery scheduling and coordination.
  • Obtain necessary insurance authorizations and handle insurance-related tasks, utilizing your expertise in medical clinic scheduling and familiarity with various insurance providers.
  • Accurately perform data entry using electronic health record (EHR) systems while strictly adhering to data privacy regulations and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Facilitate effective patient and clinic communications through email, phone, text, and fax, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Assume the primary receptionist role, efficiently managing patient check-ins and check-outs, insurance verifications, co-pay collections, appointment confirmations, and generating essential reports.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in training on and utilizing the EHR system, phone system, and other software tools, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional patient service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests with empathy and professionalism, while upholding strict confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by actively participating, maintaining a proactive and self-starting attitude, and assisting with the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Work through the front desk manual daily to ensure adherence to established protocols and best practices.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities and cross-training initiatives to expand your skill set and contribute to your career growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, with a successful track record in patient service and administrative support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling professional and compassionate interactions with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective multitasking skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in medical clinic scheduling and insurance procedures, including securing authorizations and handling insurance verifications.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and adaptability to learn and utilize new software tools efficiently.
  • Proficiency in email communication, Excel, and document management software to effectively handle administrative tasks.
  • Self-motivation, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exemplary work ethic, reliability, and a composed demeanor, with an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Availability to work 25 hours per week, from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with the potential for additional hours on Wednesdays.
