At Hollingsworth we pride ourselves in our commitment to the advancement of our workforce and develop and invest in our employees. As part of the dynamic team at Hollingsworth, you'll be a key decision maker and play a vital role in the development of the warehouse team as you help create a culture that fosters growth, values diversity and inclusion and focuses on safety. SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW:The Quality/Process Engineer is in charge of creating and managing all quality-related processes such as 8D/A3, 5Y, Pareto, Fishbone, among others. Additionally, the Quality/Process Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining process related activities such as PFs, PFMEA, CPs, SWIs, and CI. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES: Participate in scrap reduction and root cause analysis with a cross-functional team including, production, automation, engineering, IT, etc.KPI updates and reports out to the teamOverall data analysis to determine areas of improvementReview scrap generated from each shift for proper root cause and drive back issuesMaintain, analyze, and retain daily Quality data.Participate in Internal AuditsAudits of the Manufacturing and Quality functions, to identify areas of continuous improvement (CI). Update processes to reflect the continuous improvement initiatives. Work instruction creation and analysis including improvement updates.Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of products or processesInterface and point of contact with the Customers, in problem solving for all issues generated from the plant. This includes containment, quality alerts, corrective actions, work instructions, PFMEA, and CP updates. Determine Root Causes through various analytical tools including 5Y, 8D, Pareto, fishbone, etc. Author and complete Corrective Action Reports (8D/A3 format), including RPN reductions.Monitor Training activities throughout the facility and work with production to make sure training occurs and is effective, this includes assuring all CPs, PFMEAs, and work instructions are being followed. Author and update PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow diagrams, and work instructions, this includes RPN analysis and working with the team to address corrective action measures to reduce risk.Participate in the LPA program and use results to initiate CI activities. Assist in Safety-related initiatives and corporate requirements related to safety as needed. Any tasks which are given by management. Adhere to all Hollingsworth rules and regulations as specified in the employee handbook. SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field or work equivalent. Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or IATF. Ability to author, analyze, and update QMS processes and procedures in compliance with 9001:2015 or IATF, whichever is required by the customer. Computer literate, advanced skills. Ability to be a leader, educator, and team player. Ability to work with customers and drive back meaningful solutions and follow through.Ability to maintain professionalism at all timesDetail-oriented with decision-making skills. Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction.In-depth understanding of technical documentationExcellent analytical skillsHands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)Experience with Automotive Launch activities is a big plus MEASUREMENT OF PERFORMANCEAbility to demonstrate continuous improvement. Ability to assess and reduce risk.Ability to progress toward quality goals.Completeness, integrity, and usability of documentation. Completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities. Effectiveness of training. Effectiveness of communication. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to effectively deal with both customers and suppliers. Meeting quality and safety goals.
