Every item we produce reflects our core values of quality and craftsmanship, in keeping with what Holland & Sherry started over 180 years ago.Job Description:This position entails assisting the Head Embroidery Designer for Holland & Sherry with CAD design work for our embroidery collections.This is a full-time position based in our South Norwalk, CT facility. Training requirements for initial 3-month period (approximately) to take place at Designer’s studio in Croton-On-Hudson, NY two (2) days per week. Travel costs will be covered. This role is ideal for a bright, hardworking candidate who is interested in textiles/design/fashion. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an extremely talented designer who previously worked for one of the world’s top fashion houses and now designs exclusively for Holland & Sherry.Responsibilities:Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with the following:· Work on custom design CADs· Review pre-prepared worksheets from showrooms· Communicate between embroidery designer and Holland & Sherry showrooms · Handle follow-up on custom orders· Ad hoc projects Requirements:· Great knowledge of CAD and/or Corel· Previous experience working in a design office or environment ideal· Highly organized, detail oriented with strong time management skills· Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
