Position Summary:

As a Studio Photographer at Holiday Magic Studios, you play an integral role in creating unforgettable holiday memories for our guests. While your primary task is to capture magical moments, having an engaging personality is just as crucial, if not more so, than your photography skills. Prior experience in photography is a bonus, but it's not mandatory, as we value a person's ability to connect and interact with our guests.

Unlike typical mall Santa snapshots, we provide an exclusive 5-minute photo session for every guest group. During this time, Photographers are empowered to take up to 50 high-quality photos, ensuring that each one is well-lit, accurately exposed, and sharply focused. All captured photos are immediately uploaded to the guests' private online accounts.

As a Photographer, you will have a Studio Assistant to support you. The Assistant manages customer details, arranges the guests, draws the children's attention, and informs them on retrieving their photos post-session. Together, the Photographer and Studio Assistant are responsible for maintaining a punctual schedule for all reservations, ensuring a seamless experience for every visitor.

Photographer Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet children and family members as they enter the studio, then introduce them to Santa.
  • Ensure young children who may be nervous about meeting Santa, are made to feel comfortable in his presence.
  • Lead the photo session by instructing kids and family members where to sit, stand, and look in the photos.
  • Working with the manager and studio assistant, capture a series of beautiful photos using our simple-to-use camera setup.
  • Work diligently to fulfill any special photo-related requests from parents, within the allotted session time.
  • With your manager's help, fix simple camera and computer problems if they occur.
  • Ensure each photo session is completed in a timely manner and that the studio operates on schedule.
  • Ensure the studio and photo set is always clean and tidy, making sure it's always looking its best

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must have a cheerful, warm, and bubbly personality, ready to spread Christmas Cheer.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities with adults and children.
  • Should have a basic understanding of photography principles such as posing, framing, and eye contact.
  • Must be able to use a Windows computer for basic tasks.
  • Should be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Maintain reliable transportation to and from shifts.
  • Commit to attending face-to-face training sessions.
  • Commit to completing online training modules.
  • Pass necessary screenings, including a comprehensive background check.
