Holiday Inn & Suites Lake Charles is Hiring a Hotel Sales Coordinator Near Charles, LA

A Hotel Sales Coordinator's primary role is to assist the Sales Director and GM in properly executing group and events to promote and maintain growth. This is a entry position into hotel sales with opportunity to learn and grow your skills. Sales Coordinators will be able to successful do the following:

  • Support the vision of management for the hotel, adopting their style and framework.
  • Prepare documents used throughout the sales process (informational packets, proposals, contracts, banquet event orders for setup crew and F&B crew, etc).
  • Convert business leads into successful, ongoing relationships between the clients and the hotel.
  • Serve as the point of contact for hotel clients and ensure all questions, requests and concerns are addressed promptly and the relationships are strengthened through ongoing communication.
  • Ensure all office duties are completed timely and accurately such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, filing, faxing, maintaining an events calendar etc.
  • Ensure the hotel and clients deliver as agreed by processing contracts correctly, coordinating with the appropriate departments and following up after delivery.
  • Ensure group room blocks and banquet contracts are setup and executed correctly.
  • Become proficient in the systems the hotel uses for sales efforts.
  • Perform hotel site tours with potential clients.
  • Willingness to execute other duties as assigned by management.

Prerequisites:

  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • Working knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Be friendly, customer centric, smile and able to work in a team environment.
