Holiday Inn Portland – Columbia Riverfront is a full-service convention hotel located on the banks of the Columbia River. We’re now hiring an ambitious Individual Business Traveler Sales Manager, to join our team!

Responsibilities:
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
- Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
- Work with your direct manager to develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. Help incorporate and manage sales force to sales/catering staff.
- Utilize the marketing plan in order to uncover potential business.
- Participate in sales strategy meetings and other sales related meetings as required.
- Analyze and estimate total value of each piece of business and negotiate best situation for achieving optimum revenue while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Ensure accuracy for forecasting of revenues with most updated information.
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
Experience
- Preference for 2 years minimum past experience with the corporate business travel segment.
- Preference for IHG systems experience, but not mandatory.
