RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for group, corporate and catering sales solicitations.
  • Ensure the sales database is developed and managed for in-person, phone, and email campaigns and customer solicitation efforts to maximize overall revenue.
  • Initiate and develop sales trips to key feeder markets/cities, focusing on identifying accounts that can directly benefit revenue performance targets at both hotels. In addition, work directly with the Regional Sales Director to help coordinate property direct sales efforts.
  • Proactively conduct outside sales calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients. Solicit new and repeat business through a proactive sales approach incorporating consultative selling skills.
  • Understand the content reflected in contracts and how to negotiate terms therein.
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure the ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.
  • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
  • Comply with attainment of individual goals, team goals, and budgeted metrics.
  • Act as directed on behalf of the Regional Sales Director in her absence; performing any other duties as requested by management.
  • The Sales Manager is responsible for growing overall revenue and profitability while maximizing customer satisfaction from pre-event planning through post-event service phases.
  • Create a personalized quarterly action plan based on the needs of both properties and market trends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 6 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 4 years of related experience required.
  • Prior senior sales experience selling destination markets with an emphasis on tour groups is required.
  • Must possess highly developed verbal & written communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and close group and corporate clients.
  • Must be comfortable making prospect calls, cold calls, and in-person sales calls and have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, and closing. Position is a mixture of proactive and reactive sales.
  • Responsible for sales and revenue generation for segments assigned by RDOS.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products. OPERA experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and report back tasks and production daily.
  • Strong organization and presentation skills
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations; maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must work with and understand financial information, data, and essential arithmetic functions.
  • Attention to detail. Driven, takes initiative and follows directions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
