The Holiday Inn of St. Cloud is seeking a friendly and qualified Associate for the Assistant Chief Maintenance Engineer position. The Assistant Chief Maintenance Engineer is responsible for managing the maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds to provide our guests and associates with a high level of products and services and ensure the smooth daily operation and guest appeal of the hotel. This candidate must possess a high level of diagnostic and troubleshooting knowledge in all aspects of building operations. Proficient in all areas of technical trades such as construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC with experience in drywall, wall papering, painting tile repair and replacement. Equipment maintenance such as washer & dryers, water heaters, swimming pool upkeep and restaurant equipment is preferred.
Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance. Educate and train all team members in compliance with brand standards, federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties. Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Maintain relations with outside contacts including guests, regulatory agencies, others as needed.
The Assistant Chief Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, outdoor landscaping, all public spaces, guest rooms, kitchen, bar & lounge, all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, boilers, refrigeration, pool maintenance, as well as preventative maintenance programs (includes painting and moving of furniture). The ideal candidate will have previous Engineering Management experience in a full service hotel. Will be well organized, goal oriented, and looking to be part of our team in order to further the growth the hotel. This is a ‘working manager’ position and must work well with all departments and team members, by efficiently assisting associates and guests to provide high level service in a timely manner.
