Small family law firm representing women only is seeking an organized and detail oriented individual to fill the primary role of bookkeeper. Secondary responsibilities include overflow support for answering phones, greeting clients, processing incoming and outgoing communications, scheduling appointments and maintaining well organized case files electronically and in paper. Essential Functions:
· Oversees all accounting functions and financial reporting for the Firm (A/P, A/R, and Payroll) and reports to the Firm Administrator
· Receives, approves, pays, and, when necessary, investigates client's accounts payable invoices.
· Maintains the client trust accounts and client ledgers.
· Communicate verbally and in writing with clients to request payment of past due fees and/or replenishment of minimum client trust balances.
· Performs bi-monthly prebilling and billing functions
· Enters payables, monitors payables and process payments payables.
· Communicates (both in verbal and written form) with employees, clients, vendors, and banking contacts.
· Prepares appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners.
· Reconciling daily deposits.
· Process payroll bi-weekly.
· Prepares bonus’ for employees
· Audit and reconcile payroll deductions.
· Generates 1099's
· This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and budget and forecast activities.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
· Minimum of two years accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
· Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
· Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.
· Knowledge and ability to do computerized accounting, but knowledge about manual ledgers
· Knowledge processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll liabilities
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.
· Must be able to keep client matters and personnel information and matters strictly confidential.
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
· Prior experience in Business Management preferred.
· College education preferred.
