 Currently, we seek a talented and ambitious Controls & Automation Engineer who will focus on:

  • Primarily Local Work – Travel is approximately 10%, most of which is local
  • PLC & HMI Programming – Allen Bradley, SIEMENs, GE Emerson, Keyence, and other platforms
  • Robot Programming – Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, and other platforms
  • Electrical Controls Design – AutoCAD Electrical
  • Service Calls – Installations, modifications, and troubleshooting

At Hoekstra, Controls & Automation Engineers are successful when they come equipped with the following: 

  • Ability to work in the United States without any type of sponsorship - Required
  • 2 years of Controls & Automation experience – Required
  • Technical proficiency in PLC and HMI Programming Required
    • Robot Programming Languages and AutoCAD preferred
  • Flexibility – able to change gears based on changing conditions - Required
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written) - Required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain (vehicle allowance available) – Required
  • Technical training (programming & robotics) – Strongly Preferred
