As the Production Planner you'll be responsible for planning the schedule to fulfill customer order demand, maintain planned stock levels and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation. This is a safety sensitive position.

Major Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate ERP system parameters and inform Production Manager when inventoryplan does not match product demand.
• Proactively schedule production to minimize disruptions caused by component shortages, machine downtime, labor shortages, and other capacity constraints.
• Review production schedule for the ordering of materials, assist in maintaining stock of inventory to pre-authorized limits, analyze inventory reports to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery, and maintain inventory and safety stock in the ERP system.
• Provide inventory reports to other departments.
• Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, report discrepancies to cycle count team, and recommend process improvements to eliminate discrepancies.
• Assist with physical inventory audits.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and communicate any safety issues.
• Maintain an orderly and efficient work area by adhering to 5S guidelines.

Skills Required

• High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must have at least five (5) years’ experience as a Production Planner, Production Scheduler, or Master Scheduler to include working with MRP/ERP systems (IQMS, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors, must have excellent communication skills with all departments, be organized, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites to include Word and Excel.
• Must be an experienced forklift operator with ability to obtain HMS Forklift certification.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, sit, and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
