HM Dunn Aero Systems is Hiring a Manager - Quality - Assy Near Wichita, KS

Summary:

Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing QMS standards; validating processes; providing documentation; and managing staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of inspections at all phases of the manufacturing and delivery processes
  • Assist all site functions and personnel with quality related questions
  • Interpret customer drawings & specifications
  • Manage departmental workload to support on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction
  • Hands on inspection as needed 
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and other divisions
  • Manage Certified Operator training program
  • Manage quality audits
  • Supervise MSQRB and quality improvement teams and processes
  • Coach, counsel, train, and mentor quality staff
  • Complete performance reviews
  • Accept and adapt easily to change.
  • Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement.
  • Operate job-related equipment with or without an accommodation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned task satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, competency, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Industry related degree preferred
  • RABQSA or IRCA certified auditor or lead auditor desired
  • 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience, with aerospace machined parts and assemblies
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Experience in inspection of parts to customer drawings and specification
  • Working knowledge of inspection gages (i.e. calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, etc.)
  • Experience with all aspects of Quality functions, including raw material inspection
  • Knowledge of customer engineering specifications
  • Computer skills, which shall include MS Office Tools (MS Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines
