HM Dunn Aero Systems is Hiring an Assembler - Structural FOUR DAY WORK WEEK Near Wichita, KS

 

Job Summary: Assembles structural sections of aircraft using parts, subassemblies, and components and/or installs functional units, parts or equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Assembles structural sections of aircraft using fabricated parts, subassemblies, and components by safely using hand tools and power tools in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
  2. Drill holes into structure and subassemblies and attaches brackets, hinges, or clips.
  3. Cuts, trims, and files parts to the proper fit.
  4. Locates and identifies reference points and holes for installation of parts using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
  5. Ensures parts are aligned to acceptable tolerances.
  6. Inspects and tests installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, form, and function in compliance with standards using appropriate measuring instruments and test equipment.
  7. Tends machines, such as arbor presses or riveting machine, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.

NON ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

8. Provides guidance to bench assemblers when needed.

9. Provides assistance to other production areas as needed.

10. Maintains clean work area, tools, and equipment.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  2. Ability to read blueprints required.
  3. Minimum 1 year previous related experience required.
  4. Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  5. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
  6. Ability to safely and properly use gauges, calipers, and other tools and equipment.
  7. Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.
  8. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
  9. Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
  10. Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
  11. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
  12. US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
