Following a highly successful 2020 launch at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, the nation’s premier jack-O’lantern event will return to the living history museum this fall. Customer-service oriented, outgoing, responsible front of house staff sought to welcome attendees at The Great Jack O’Lanten Blaze. Job Overview: Path Monitors will Provide a welcoming atmosphere, ensure the safety of guests, and monitor an assigned area of the event path. Provide an approachable presence to guests who may have questions and work to ensure that all visitors enjoy an exemplary experience through professional interactions. These are part time, seasonal positions that run September through November, Wednesday - Sunday evenings with shift durations of 5-8 hours and a preference given to candidates with availability on Friday and Saturday evenings. Requirements: Must be available to work at least 3 evenings per week throughout the entire season (inclusive of scheduled weekends and holidays). Out-going, comfortable working with the public, and have experience in hospitality, guest services, special events, or related fields. Must be in good physical condition, able to stand/walk for up to 5-8 hours, and be willing to work outdoors, rain or shine.
