Historic Hampton House 1908 is Hiring a Venue Sales Manager Near Pickens, SC

The Venue Sales Manager at Historic Hampton House 1908 (www.HHH1908.com) is responsible for achieving sales goals for all venue and event rentals, as well as ensuring a best-in-class client experience. Primary tasks include identifying and connecting with potential clients, scheduling and leading property tours, negotiating

contracts, and transferring contracted events to the event planners. This position will report to the Chief Experience Officer.

Role and Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Be familiar with the competition landscape and conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing and competitive differentiators for HHH1908.
  • In collaboration with the HHH1908 owners and social media lead, the candidate will create and implement sales strategies to drive sales for HHH1908 (including but not limited to weddings, parties, corporate events, overnight stays, etc.)
  • Provide innovative ideas to drive off-peak sales and incremental sales during peak times.
  • Initiate and nurture relationships throughout the community, including clients, vendors, event planners, local companies/organizations and community partners.
  • Actively participate in wedding-related trade shows, networking events, open houses, and community events to promote HHH1908.

Sales

  • Responsible for preparing and reporting sales targets, sales forecasts and weekly sales updates.
  • Partner with HHH1908’s administrative staff on identifying HoneyBook (website), Knot, Wedding Wire, Eventective and social media leads.
  • Schedule tours and serve as the primary lead for tours and sales discussions.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to sell HHH1908 based on client dreams/wishes and anticipated needs.
  • Create contracts for events/bookings and act as a resource through booking, planning and follow-up.

Administration

  • Maintain HHH1908 calendar for tours and event bookings.
  • Update client status and information in HoneyBook.
  • Work closely with the administrative staff, planners and other HHH1908 partners to communicate client goals/dreams and ensure they are transitioned appropriately to exceed client expectations.
  • Document and define sales and handoff process for training of future staff.
  • Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to the position.

Qualifications

  • Two years of sales and/or event experience. At least 1 year of event sales experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, and a passion for unparalleled client experience.
  • Outgoing, motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Leader, self-starter, and problem-solver with strong communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer applications (Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HoneyBook is a plus.
  • Available to work an irregular schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
