Hispanic Technology Executive Council is Hiring a Commercial Cards Sales Optimization Manager, VP (hybrid) Near New York, NY

If you are passionate about helping clients optimize and make the most out of their Commercial Card programs, then the Sales Optimization Manager, VP position may be for you. This position requires a strong strategic advisor focus, with consultative sales experience who stays abreast of developments within the Commercial Cards field. This role's primary objectives are to work with our existing client portfolio, along with relationship owners to identify, strategize, present and win new Commercial Card strategies for growth and expansion, product cross sells, and competitive rebids for account retention. They work with clients within a sector by understanding the client business needs and goals and providing advanced optimization, working capital and efficiency strategies to monetize these efforts. They additionally cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders by employing developed communication skills to work closely with banking and treasury partners that own the broader client relationship, to ensure communication, strategy and focus are coordinated and consistent. Manages complex solutioning, which may include working with internal partners globally to develop and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for actively calling on clients in partnership with Client Executives, Global Solutions Sales and Banking to cross sell products to existing Commercial Card clients, proactively owning, responding to and anticipating needs, challenges or risks, aligned with Citi's value proposition
  • Takes ownership of the deal process for existing client opportunities and proposals as assigned in order to retain business
  • Drives innovation by thinking creatively and critically to deliver the solutions we provide clients while structuring deals to balance risk and reward for clients and the firm
  • Is results-oriented and demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience under stress, a team player attitude, and adaptability in a fast-paced and complex client environment
  • Works effectively both independently and in a team environment with proven ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders at various levels in the organization
  • Works in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, and Market Management in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Serves as strategic advisor to internal deal partners and Client
  • Develops and maintains industry knowledge
  • Shares knowledge with other sales consultants and junior staff
  • Executes on strategic initiatives
  • Provides client feedback on product, process and service needs
  • Attends, presents and represents Citi at industry conferences and events
  • Works with clients to amend/ update contracts
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

  • University Degree or equivalent
  • Five years' experience in a Commercial Card environment and ten years' relevant experience
  • Proven track record of successful client relationship growth and client focused activity
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Committed, trusted team player
  • High energy and initiative
  • Time Management and Organizational Skills
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred/ Equivalent experience
