JOB SUMMARY

The Program Manager 2 for CTE Asset Inventory ensures that all CTE programs of study are properly equipped to maximize student attainment of industry-related skills. This position reports to the Coordinator 2 of CTE Grants and Assets. This position monitors equitable distribution of federal CTE funding, manages the purchase, inventory, and maintenance of CTE-specific equipment and supplies, and monitors all program needs through an equity lens.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain procedures to accurately track all CTE inventory purchased with federal Perkins Funds and/or state CTE funds, including, but not limited to, tagging individual items, determining proper inventory location, tracking item ages, and arranging inventory replacement when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Coordinator 2, Program of Study, to determine consumable products needed for the operation of equipment, tools, technology, and curriculum, assisting the Coordinator 2 to process purchases made with CTE funds.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED

  • Monitor and report on program compliance, ensuring proper use of CTE funds applied to CTE program assets, ensuring compliance with guidelines established by the External Funding and Accounting departments.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and organize meetings, workshops, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.
  • Regularly engages customers, clients, and end users, including through frequent school visits, to gather personal feedback on the impact of activities and needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED *Applicants who do not meet these education qualifications may be considered if they have a unique combination of education and work experiences that indicate potential for success in this role.

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years working in project management, preferably in a similar industry or

organization.

SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects

simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving project

goals and deliverables.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with

stakeholders at all levels.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented

mindset.

Proficient in project management software and tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.

Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation principles.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and quality, ensuring high standards of project deliverables.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.

Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.

Ability to travel as required.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two

or more employees, but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing

typically involves monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work

time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading.

Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite

varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of

No budget development activity is required.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude, but are still

subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems

and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

IMPACT OF DECISIONS

Decisions have minor, small and possibly incremental impact on the department or facility. Errors

are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked

and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting

in brief inconvenience.

COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS

Collaborate and solve problems - works with others to resolve problems, clarify or interpret

complex information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval

authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

Takes routine or required customer actions to meet customer needs. Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up. May handle escalated issues passed on from coworkers or subordinates.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the

employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.
