Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and leads day-to-day operations of the office; prioritizing client-centered objectives;
  • Performs basic accounting functions, including monthly billing, collections, payment of invoices, payroll, trust account fund movement, communication with outside CPA, assisting CPA with preparation of tax returns, communication with outside audit firm, and benefits management.
  • Prepares and maintains the firm’s budget and profit & loss statement in consultation with outside consultant;
  • Trains and oversees staff regarding firm procedures and client management system;
  • Assists managing partner in conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive;
  • Assists managing partner in discipline and termination of non-attorney employees as needed and in accordance with firm policies;
  • Manages equipment leases, office services, and facilities in consultation with vendors
  • Maintains and leads a professional and positive work environment by facilitating effective communication and information sharing;
  • Drafts and implements operations and human resource policies and practices to ensure quality services;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience with law firm billing and/or accounting, including use of Quickbooks and Clio
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-focused service skills;
  • Detail-oriented and professional;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including: WORD, Powerpoint; Excel, Outlook;

· You can work independently with exemplary time management skills to maximize efficiency by prioritizing your workload.

· You know how to create a sense of urgency, promote value, and close a sale.

Job Location:

  • Denver CO, 80202

Education and Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in law firm management or paralegal position;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Paralegal, Finance, or related field highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer;
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times;
  • Must have transportation to downtown Denver

Pay/Benefits:

  • Pay Range: DOE. Salary expectation/history highly considered;
