HireQuest Direct is Hiring a Project Finance Manager Near National, CA

My client, an International M D (Electronics and Magnetic Components) needs a Project (Program) Finance Manager to help lead the Financial Planning & Analysis team that supports R&D and Product Development.

The primary responsibilities for this position will be to perform the role of Project/Program Finance control and management as a key member of R&D and Product Development Program teams.

Responsibilities include:

· Collaborating with Business Development and Product Marketing to perform business modeling for new products and services.

· Working closely with R&D and Program leadership to estimate, establish, control / manage and report R&D finances, and budgets.

· Teaming with Program Mgr, Product Mgrs and other Program team leads to establish, monitor, manage and report program budget and expenses.

· Reporting Program/s financials to Program, Business Group leadership and Corporate leadership (as reqd).

Functions:

· Finance lead and representation for cross functional program / project teams.

· Program, project financial representative to business group management and corporate staff (as reqd).

· Budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, analysis and control of program / project financials.

· Support and contribution to business modeling and strategy creation for new business, products and services.

· Work closely with Program/ Project leads to create assessment, monitoring and management mechanisms to establish Program budget / financial performance predictability.

· Collaborate with Program/ Project leads to effectively assess and execute “make or buy” decisions.

· Assist and support cross functional team leaders in estimating and creation of resource plan and operating budgets for R&D and product development programs.

· Work cross-functionally with other areas of the organization to facilitate change adoption (as required) associated with new R&D / Product Development financial management process.

Experience/Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 to 8 years of Finance experience, with min 3 years associated Program / Project finance management, preferably in a technical product development and services field.

· Experience and knowledge in R&D and product development life cycle and processes as relates to financial systems, management and controls.

· Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess the flexibility to manage programs / projects in various stages of R&D and product development life cycle.

· Ability to contribute during ideation phase of program/ project, where uncertainty and frequent change is prevalent, as well as more structured yet agile development phase of R&D and Product development.

· Position requires a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, teaming skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience in business and financial modeling for HW/SW systems and services as well as SW only and Cloud based systems and services.

· Experience in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation and reporting, and cash flow forecasting

· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and finance specific tools, applications and modules.

· Experience in developing / creating and utilizing Prog / Proj Finance estimating, tracking and control templates and tools is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
