AI Software Test Engineer
Our next-generation fintech startup client in North Carolina is seeking a knowledgeable AI Software Test Engineer to assist with regression testing, using generative AI software testing tools to aid and refine the software testing process, and ensure ongoing software quality and reliability. In this role, the AI Software Test Engineer would work with a small, tight-knit software team to create regression tests that execute in a continuous integration environment, testing the boundaries and capabilities of the proprietary software platform to ensure proper function. The STE must be curious, have significant attention to detail, and be able to thrive in a startup environment.
This is a direct-hire opportunity in Raleigh, NC. Target salary range is $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and fit, plus excellent benefits and equity potential. Work schedule is designed to be hybrid, split between the downtown Raleigh HQ and your home office. Local candidates are strongly preferred. No visa sponsorship or subcontracting arrangements are available.
Responsibilities of the AI Software Test Engineer:

• Develop comprehensive regression test cases using AI generative testing tools to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Design, create, and maintain automated regression test scripts, ensuring coverage of critical functionalities on the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create effective test strategies.
• Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify issues, inconsistencies, or defects.
• Verify the accuracy of test results with a strong understanding of financial services processes and regulations.
• Maintain and update regression test suites to accommodate new features and changes in the platform.
• Document test cases, test results, and defects for future reference and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with software developers and quality assurance teams to resolve identified issues.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, new testing methodologies, and financial services regulations to improve testing processes.
• Provide feedback on test design and suggest improvements to the testing framework.

Qualifications of the AI Software Test Engineer:

• 2-3 years of hands-on automation testing experience .
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and executing regression tests using AI generative testing tools.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation in Javascript.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
• Experience with AI testing tools such as Appsurify Testbrain, New Relic, or similar.
• Experience with Node.js and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in developing and executing automated tests.
• Strong NoSQL database skills.
• Knowledge of backend API services and webhook integrations.
• Understanding of the cloud infrastructure environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial services platforms highly preferred, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
• SaaS experience.
• Excellent professional skills including written & verbal communication, ability to work independently & remotely, and ability to quickly understand and incorporate new processes & technologies.
