Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed in our Baton Rouge clinic. 

Schedule: Part-time. Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 1pm

No travel required to other offices.

Requirements:

• Louisiana licensed RN or LPN, with no restrictions, required.
• At least one year of nursing experience, preferred.
• Experience in women’s health care or IVF, preferred.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Provides appropriate nursing/medical clinical instructions and assistance with patient follow-up, including laboratory results, medication adjustments, pregnancy adaptation and transition.
• Able to work 1 Saturday per quarter (weekend shift-differential offered), More Saturdays may be worked if you'd like.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in clinical needs assessment of patients e.g., lab results, ultrasounds, hyperstimulation, ectopic pregnancy, multiple pregnancy, etc. and implements appropriate response.
• Assists physician with physical exams and procedures e.g., inseminations, transvaginal ultrasounds, and other appropriate procedures as per protocol and within nursing scope of practice.
• Orders diagnostic testing in accordance with well-established protocols.
• Maintains appropriate documentation in eIVF and ensures that all appropriate consents are properly executed.
• Works collaboratively with billing agents/FSRs to obtain appropriate pre-certifications for infertility procedures.
• Surgical scheduling (i.e. hysteroscopy, D&C) for the assigned office- pre-certifying surgical procedures if applicable, along with scheduling a pre and post-operative visit if required. This includes coordinating schedules with the surgical centers and surgical scheduling, sending over pre-op forms and providing the surgical centers with benefit/auth info for each patient. Ensures that patient has been scheduled for any necessary testing prior to surgical procedure (i.e., Covid-19).
• Review correspondence in eIVF throughout the day and respond to patients in a timely manner.
