Hinge Health Hybrid Model:

About the Role

The Head of Neurostimulation Science will be responsible for leading the clinical strategy and development of our Enso product line, which includes electrical neurostimulation and other pain relief technologies, as well as biosensor technologies. This includes but is not limited to the strategy, design and delivery of treatments for new pain areas, the creation and execution of new treatment and sensor technologies, and thorough testing and development of evidence for new treatments and technologies.

This position will need to progress scientific strategy and execution along with our clinical, hardware, regulatory, and product teams. The Head of Neurostimulation Science will also need to ensure efficacy and feasibility of our products by working closely with our technical teams. They will also need to independently lead and contribute to regulatory submissions, process improvement, and mentoring.

This position will manage a small team of experts, while collaborating with partner teams.

The objectives of the Neurostimulation Science Head will be set in agreement with the Hardware, Clinical, and Product organizations.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Manage the scientific process to create additional treatments, setting the stage for multiple channels and markets
  • Direct the scientific exploration and research of new pain relief technologies and modalities – this will set the stage for business lines
  • Interact and partner with external organizations, in order to champion new treatments
  • Willingness to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, clinical, and external teams as part of a group effort to progress Hinge Health’s technological advancements.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Scientific doctoral level degree (e.g. PhD), relevant equivalent clinical qualification, or other relevant university degree with extensive experience in clinical device development.
  • Five or more years of relevant biomedical industry or medical device experience is required. 
  • Understanding of scientific and clinical issues related to the design and implementation of neurostimulation in medical devices.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional setting.
  • Experience with FDA regulatory submissions, life cycle management, advisory boards, annual safety updates.

$233,600 - $350,400 a year
Consider the range above plus equity, and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
