What will I be doing?

As the Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for maintenance and repairs to guestrooms, bathrooms, furniture, public areas, and back of the house areas of the hotel.

Schedule Details :

This position is full-time. Our Facilities Department operates 7 days per week - hours may vary depending on business needs.

Additional Responsibilities Include :

• Perform minor electrical and HVAC repairs such as lamps, small appliances, removal or placement of telephones, replacement or repair of switches, fan motors, thermostats, etc.
• Perform minor carpentry repairs such as door / window moldings, banisters, furniture and maintain, paint, and repair hotel walls, patching of wall boards, wallpapering or painting and all floors and floor coverings such as carpets, ceramic tiles, etc.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs such as leaking faucets and valves, etc.
• Maintain and repair hotel and laundry equipment such as : vacuums, floor polishers / carpet shampooers, housekeeping carts, preventative maintenance checklist for filters, oil, grease motors, etc.
• Respond to maintenance requests from hotel guests, employees and spa staff.
• Assist in all other responsibilities as assigned and deemed appropriate by management.

• 2 years experience in maintenance / engineering to include electrical, plumbing and carpentry repair.
• Proficient in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals and products relating to the department.
• Excellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certifications (HVAC, CPO, EPA, OSHA 30) highly desirable.
