WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS REQUIRED. Weekends 6am to Noon
Serves food, and non-spirited beverages for patrons of the Garden Grille during breakfast hours.
Acknowledges all customers in a timely manner, escorting (when necessary) customers to tables.
Often must “multi-task” (simultaneously serve customers and bus tables, etc.) when necessary
Promptly serves food / beverage orders. Promptly clears soiled dishes, glassware, etc., per standard.
Documents all orders in Micros System. Understands operation of Micros System, cash handling, credit card, and “charge to guestroom” procedures, accurately posting and reconciling same. Collects money (from cash guests) and records receipt in Micros. Follows established credit card and “charge to guestroom” billing procedures
Understands cleanliness and sanitation standards, maintaining kitchen server area, service aisle, and public areas, accordingly. Performs required opening and closing side work, and “project cleaning”. Assists with cleanliness and sanitation of entire restaurant and lounge, per standard, kitchen “pick up” counter area, and all equipment and storage areas
Qualification Standards
a. Able to operate computer and point-of-sale systems and accurately process cash/credit transactions
b. Able to reconcile and accurately complete shift administrative (reporting) requirements
c. Able to stand during entire shift. Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift
d. Able to tolerate handling very hot plates, etc. Aware of possible hazards (cuts, burns, slipping, etc
e. Able to move or lift heavy food cases or containers
f. Able to work effectively as team member and to promote a harmonious work environment
