The Accountant assists the Accounting Manager in financial reporting, data analysis, and special projects. This position will be involved in various financial analysis and reporting responsibilities in the areas of accounting, reimbursement, managed care, purchasing, business office, health information management, accounts payable, payroll, and electronic data processing. The Accountant is also primarily responsible for performing the day-to-day functions of Accounts Payable.

Monday thru Friday no weekends or holidays.

Education and/or experience:

· B.S.B.A required with emphasis on Accounting and/or Healthcare Administration preferred.

· Minimum 2 years experience in the accounting or financial field required, including extensive PC experience, preferable in a health care setting

· Detailed knowledge of personal computer and or mainframe computer hardware and software and accounting principles required.

· Knowledge of healthcare operations preferred, including third party and managed care reimbursement
