Position: Part-Time Bourbon Experience Guide

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt
Location: Louisville, KY 

Reports to: Guest Experiences Manager

Position Summary: 

Our Bourbon Experience Guide is expected to be well versed in all front-line roles of Barrels & Billets. Coaching guests as they blend their own custom bourbon is the most important function of this role. Experience Guides will also assist with operations (blending & bottling), serving and teaching guests about our bourbon/cocktail flights at the bar, running the register for bottle and merchandise sales, and leading consumer experience presentations. Experience Guides must remain flexible and assist in any area of the experience at any time. 

Essential Functions: 

1. Ensure world-class guest experience in every facet of bourbon blending attraction. 

2. Lead the presentation and educate guests through our 45-minute Custom Bourbon Blending Experience. 

3. Blending and bottling of custom bourbon and other products. 

4. Serve and teach customers at the teaching bar. 

5. Set up/and break down before and after Custom Bourbon Experiences.

6. Ensures cleaning procedures and safety standards are upheld throughout the attraction. 

7. Ensures glasses, utensils, and serving areas remain clean. 

8. Handles sales transactions at the cash register.

9. Ensures bar is well stocked throughout shift.

10. Provide backup to all areas of Barrels & Billets. Cross-train in all areas to assist with daily tasks. 

11. Responsible for alerting the MOD of any system or equipment issues.

Other Duties: 

Work nights and weekends. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements: 

1. High School Diploma 

2. Minimum five years experience in the service industry and or hospitality 

3. Presentation skills and comfortability with speaking in front of groups.

4. Must have a professional appearance 

5. Knowledge of bourbon is beneficial but not required
